The Soul Driving the Rhythm

Born in San José, Costa Rica. Raised in Miami. Self-taught through conga legend Giovanni Hidalgo and listening to Tito Puente and Carlos Santana. Over 20 years later, Esteban Camacho has performed across 33 countries — a 3-year Celebrity Cruises residency, milestone galas for UBS and Bacardi, and a private performance for the Prime Minister of the Bahamas and his inner circle.

He shows up in a suit, a hat, and a pair of congas. By the end of the night, the most formal people in the room have loosened their tie — or lost it entirely.

He speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese. None of it matters unless the room is moving.

Esteban and I have been performing in the Miami scene since 2007, and we've done it all: the Ritz Carlton, the Versace Mansion, weddings at the Biltmore Hotel, private mansions, island parties, Bacardi's 150th Anniversary, UBS Bank's 150th Anniversary, even an event in The Bahamas for the Prime Minister and his inner circle. You name it, we've rocked it. This guy doesn't play the room. He owns it. Every single time. More than 15 years, and he still shows up with that same fire, that same hunger.
